This picture was kindly e-mailed to me by Ian L. (sorry don't know his surname) I hope he doesn't mind me using it but it shows the memorial after its unveiling. |
|
Location: St Matthews Street, Healey Wood by the church
OS ref: 103 SD833320
|
|
The inscription reads:
In thankful remembrance
of the men of this Parish
who gave their lives for their country
in the Great War
There are three columns of names on this memorial
however they are very worn and the middle column is illegible, thanks to
Ian I have been able to provide a full transcription
There are 48 names recorded.

As well as Ian L. mentioned above I would also like to thank some one else whose name I do not know, but I assume is connected with St Matthews Church who kindly sent me transcripts of the above names and those from the Holy Trinity Church memorial.
