The names of 145 men who died in the First World War are engraved on a brass plaque on the back of the memorial with the words:
IN TRIBUTE TO THOSE MEN OF BARROWFORD WHO WERE
KILLED IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914 - 1918
