The memorial is in front of the Library on the A682 Colne Road, Brierfield

Originally the memorial was in front of the Town Hall but was moved to its present position in 1951

There are just over 200 names of First World War casualties on the three sides under the lion. On the back of the memorial are 85 names from the Second World War.
