The War Memorial is within the grounds of the Parish church of St John the Evangelist, just in front of the church, which is on the main road through the village of Higham.

Date: May 1921, unveiled by Lieut. Col. G.G.H.Bolton

 

 

The main body of the memorial is dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Second World War.

The plinths at the bottom contain the names of those who lost their lives in the First World War

GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE
GREAT WAR  1914 - 18
