The church and new cemetery
Location: Wheatley Lane Road
OS ref: 103 SD839384
This is the cemetery for Wheatley Lane Inghamite Church, it is very large with over 24,000 burials. It tends to be used by non-conformists from the surrounding towns of Burnley, Brierfield, Nelson and Barrowford. Most of the WW1 burials below are in the old part of the burial ground which becomes rather overgrown during the summer months.
The cwg site states there are 53 war casualties buried here from both wars.
